The spectacular adventures of a

SCHOOL

LEAVER

Two young students with disability wondering what comes after school
However, for Jordan and Ashley it also signifies a drastic change that can become overwhelming.  They’re both Year 12 school students living with disability and are  wondering what their next step after school will be. The good news is that BUSY Ability’s School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) can assist.
SLES with BUSY Ability offers individualised support for up to 2 years after finishing Year 12 to help Jordan and Ashley transition from school and achieve their goals – whether that be help to find work, undertake further study, or foundational skills for employment.
Support is tailored to meet Jordan and Ashley’s employment goals and to develop their skills for independence. SLES offers a mix of group and individual support activities as well as opportunities for Ashley and Jordan to participate in work experience as they progress on their journey towards paid employment.
SLES is open to NDIS participants who are either preparing to depart school or have recently graduated and seek additional support as they transition into the world of work. If a student with a disability is leaving school and is not an NDIS participant, they need to meet NDIS eligibility criteria and submit an access request.
