BUSY Ability Human Resources CEO Lisa Smith, and BUSY At Work CEO Paul Miles, are happy to knock down any borders between NSW and QLD.
The merger of two of the South East Queensland and Northern NSW region’s most trusted disability and apprenticeship employment services will create a brighter future and greater opportunities for clients in the region.
Nationally acclaimed BUSY At Work, based on the Gold Coast, has merged with BUSY Ability Human Resources and Disability Employment Services, which operates throughout northern New South Wales.
CEO of BUSY At Work, Paul Miles, said the Boards of the two organisations had approved the merger because it would give clients better services and improved access to specialist skills.
“BUSY At Work is already well known as one of Queensland’s largest and most trusted not-for-profit Australian Apprenticeship Network Providers and Employment Services organisation,” Mr Miles said. “By combining our strength and capability with the knowledge and skills BUSY Ability has demonstrated in the disability employment sector, we will create a powerful force for providing outstanding service levels to clients.”
Mr Miles said BUSY Ability would continue to operate as a stand-alone brand, servicing its existing clients in current locations, but while drawing financial and organisational strength from The BUSY Group and contributing specialist knowledge.
“Behind the scenes, BUSY Ability will now be administered under the successful administration systems that BUSY At Work has developed over many years to help its interactions with clients and regulators.
“We believe this is a win for consumers, who will see a more rigorous governance structure applied to the already high level of service they enjoy.”
BUSY Ability Human Resources CEO Lisa Smith, who will continue in her role under the new structure, said she believed the two organisations would work together well, building on their proven strengths to deliver better services for clients.
“The discussions of the past couple of months have convinced us that we share very similar values. I am confident BUSY Ability will be a very comfortable fit within The BUSY Group. “This new partnership will add size and strength to BUSY Ability’s market-leading knowledge of the disability services sector, and create a powerful force for servicing our valued clients.”
