Maddison (or Maddi) has always had a passion for working with animals and before moving up to the Gold Coast from Sydney, she had done years of work experience in pet stores. Her dream was to gain paid work in the industry.
So when she came to see BUSY Ability about finding work, they were determined to secure her paid employment in the industry she loved. Her employment consultant at BUSY Ability got to work straight away, approaching local Gold Coast pet stores. Eventually she secured Maddi another work experience opportunity at Currumbin’s “Pets Wonderland”, assisting in the store and also with the doggie day care that the business offers.
The team at BUSY Ability believed that once Maddi had her foot in the door, with the years of prior work experience under her belt, she was bound to impress any prospective employer.
As predicted, the owner of Pets Wonderland, Enrique, was very impressed with Maddi’s dedication and enthusiasm and offered her a permanent part-time role.
Maddi and her family were overjoyed that she had finally secured paid employment in her dream job. “BUSY Ability helped me find a job and I am very grateful!” Maddi stated.
